Awakening of The Kundalini
Verses 221 - 226
Verse 221
O Arjuna, the heat produced by the practice of
this posture awakens the force called Kundalini.
Verse 222
Just as the brood of a female serpent
bathed in turmeric, lies curled up in sleep,
Verse 223
So lies Kundalini, very small and colied three-and-a-half-times,
like a female serpent with her head turned downwards.
Verse 224
It is like a ring of lightning, folds of
flaming fire, or a bar of pure gold.
Verse 225
Bound fast by threads, it is confined between two folds,
but when it is compressed by the vajra posture, it is awakened.
Verse 226
Then, like a star shooting through space, like the sun
faling from its place in the sky, or like apoint of light
bursting forth like a sprouting seed,...

and the prana, they capture the state of the realization
of the ultimate Reality.
